The 30-minute masters originated from a discussion between
Cammy Bean and myself at the Boston
eLearning Guild Annual Gathering earlier this year. We set out to develop a curriculum that could teach subject experts and generalist trainers the essentials of instructional design in just 30 minutes. Well, with the help of many of you and a MediaWiki workspace, we have developed that curriculum and, based on this, I have now gone on to create a script for the first deliverable implementation of the 30-minute masters.
Although I have taken the lead on the script - and someone clearly had to - this is still a collaborative process. So, if you would like to give the scripts a read and make any suggestions you are very welcome.
Cathy Moore has already made some very useful comments about the introduction. You'll find the scripts at the
30-minute masters wiki. To make changes, you'll need to register I'm afraid, an inevitable consequence of spamming.
Dear Clive,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 30-Minute Masters in Instructional Design. I have posted some comments on my blog:

It is a great idea, and hopefully the course (or curriculum) will become useful (already!) and relevant as it evolves and is promoted :)
Warm Regards,
Zaid
